Kate Middleton, Prince William sue Closer magazine over topless pictures

Kate and Prince William will sue for 'grotesque' invasion of privacy over the royal exposure of the Duchess of Cambridge.

French magazine Closer dared to publish topless photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William taken while the couple were sunbathing in privacy. The couple has begun a lawsuit.
OOH, LA LA.
Topless photos of comely Kate Middleton sunbathing in France roiled the royals Friday as she and her hubby Prince William were trying to make a good impression in buttoned-up Malaysia.
The blurry but still-sexy snaps, taken poolside last week during “a very hot holiday” at a chateau in the Provence region, also showed Prince William applying sunscreen to the Duchess of Cambrige’s regal derriere.
Outraged, Buckingham Palace called it a “grotesque” invasion of privacy and the couple announced it would sue the popular French gossip magazine Closer, which posted the photos.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are clearly not amused by the photos of her topless in Closer magazine. They have announced that they have begun legal action against the the publisher for invasion of privacy.

“Legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of Closer Magazine France,” the couple declared in a statement.

Carry on! The Duchess of Cambridge visits Assyakirin Mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, well-dressed as always.

Closer’s editor said the young couple were “visible from the street.”
“This terrace looked out on a public road,” Laurence Pieau told The Associated Press. “So they were not particularly trying to hide themselves.” Pieau also told the Brits to lighten up.
“For me, those pictures were not shocking,” she said. “Just a beautiful couple, an in-love couple, in the south of France.”

Kate greets a group of well-wishers at Kuala Lumpur City Center Park in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, She and Prince William are in Malaysia as part of a ten-day tour to Southeast Asia and the South Pacific on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate her Diamond Jubilee.
Pieau also reminded thePalace that Kate’s pix were nowhere near as raunchy as those of a naked Prince Harry living it up in Las Vegas that were published in a British tab last month.
Half a world away, Middleton — looking demure in a blue lace dress — sipped tea with Malaysian-born shoe designer Jimmy Choo and other VIPs and gave no sign of being rattled. “She is an absolutely beautiful person both inside and out,” Choo gushed later. “Very much like Prince’s William’s mother.”

Prince William and Kate carry on as if the scandalous photos in French magazine Closer were of no concern to them as they attend to their duties during their visit to Kuala Lumpur.
Earlier, the royal couple visited the largest mosque in Malaysia, where the duchess donned a headscarf and removed her shoes. “It's so peaceful in here," Middleton was overheard saying, the British press reported. The royal family has a tragic history with the French paparazzi. They blame them for hounding Princess Diana to her death in a 1997 car crash in Paris.
