Katrina does not owe her success to Salman Khan

Katrina Kaif says she does not owe her success to Salman Khan.  The two have been shooting together for one and a half year, for the movie

Ek Tha Tiger.

She was asked by a leading daily, if that has rekindled their old love. The actress rubbished the claim and said, "We were working in the film. Salman is a great friend and a co-star."
Though she thanked Salman for his guidance, she said her success is also due to her own perseverance. She thanked God and said, “Yes, I owe him gratitude, but it’s unfair to say I would have not got a break without Salman. In this industry, everyone has people in their lives to help them in the beginning. Salman was helped by Sooraj Barjatya. And Salman also helped Sneha Ullal and Zarine Khan.”
Yes, Katrina was indeed helped by others in the beginning. It was London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a break with, ‘Boom’. Though the film tanked, it gave her recognition and the attention of Salman. She was linked with Salman after the success of their movie, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya’ and ‘Partner’. The relationship ended in 2011, because Katrina said, she did not like Salman’s dominating attitude.
The Barbie Doll of Bollywood was then said to be in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. He was her co-star in ‘Ajab Prem KI Gaazab Kahanni’ (2009) and ‘Rajneeeti’ (2010). On being asked if she maintains an accord with him now, she replied, “I am very much single."
She further said about Salman and her work, “I believe in destiny, God’s hand and hard work. The audience has accepted me. But it’s also true that I’ve known Salman for eight years. He’s helped me as a person. His presence in my life was for guidance and, straightforward and simple views. He has immense knowledge of the industry and this is where he helped me from going astray.” Hope Sallu Bhai does not take it in a wrong way.
When asked about her recent movie, she was quite ecstatic and was quoted as saying, "Kabir Khan makes films from the heart. He and I are very good friends. There is so much positivity and comfort on his set. ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was not an exception. And it's a different film. Salman has not been in this type of a role for a very long time. As for my role, I play Zoya, who is a college student in Ireland. She meets Salman, whom she finds very funny because he comes across as very uncomfortable with the girls,"
