Fiza death: body bears no external injury marks

Chandigarh: Sources in the police told IBNLive that the panel of doctors conducting the postmortem examination of the body of Fiza Mohammed/Anuradha Bali has not found any external injury mark on her body. The report of the forensic test which was videorecorded is expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The doctors have reportedly recommended forensic examination of her viscera samples. The samples will be sent to either the Forensic Sciences laboratory, Chandigarh, or the Department of Forensic Sciences, Patiala.

Mohali Police has obtained call details of the mobile phones of the deceased and quizzed quite a few people on Monday. Police were on the lookout for two youths who were allegedly close to her and were frequently seen with her, the sources added.
Fiza came into prominence in December, 2008, when she converted to ISlam to marry Chandermohan, son of Congress leader and former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal. Chandermohan was then the deputy chief minister of Haryana.
The couple became estranged within three months and subsequently, Fiza charged Chandermohan with rape. She also joined a reality show and reportedly signed a Bollywood movie. At one stage, she had even contemplated entering electoral politics and was reported to be getting close to BSP.
Her body, in a decomposed and maggot-infested state was found by Mohali Police from her home on August 6 which suggested that her death might have occurred four to five days before her body was found. The police are trying to ascertain if her death was a case of suicide, murder or due to some other cause. Bottles of alcohol and cigarette stubs were reportedly lying around in the room where her body was found.
